Punjab CM says video fabricated to defame him
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday said forensic examinations conducted by laboratories outside the state had determined that a controversial video linked to him was fabricated, days after Sri Akal Takht Sahib, declared him a guru "dokhi" and "anti-Panth" in connection with a controversial video.
Addressing a news conference, Mann said detailed forensic analysis of the video, including a frame-by-frame examination, concluded that the individual shown in the footage did not match him.
"The forensic investigation has established that the person seen in the video does not resemble me from any angle," Mann told reporters.
The chief minister alleged that the video was part of a deliberate attempt to damage his political reputation and public image. He claimed that an actor had been used to create and record the footage in an effort to impersonate him.
