Punjab  Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has asked the Chandigarh administration to submit a detailed report regarding sale of  heritage furniture from the MLA Hostel in the United States  for 5.9 million rupees.

Sandhwan said a high-level meeting was held with officials of the Chandigarh administration to  determine who was responsible for safeguarding the furniture. The heritage items are believed to have been under the custody of various government authorities in Punjab, Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, while inventory records were maintained by the Chandigarh administration.
