Passengers face tough time mid air after blast in power bank in India
Passengers have tough time in a Chandigarh flight after a power bank in a passenger's bag caused small explosion Tuesday. Nobody was injured in the incident.
The Indigo plane landed at Mohali International Airport at 3:30 p.m.
A total of 198 passengers and six crew members were on board. All were safely evacuated using emergency slides after smoke spread inside the cabin, triggering panic among passengers.
Authorities said the explosion was minor but led to confusion as travellers rushed to exit the aircraft. During the evacuation, a woman suffered a fractured ankle, while several others sustained minor injuries, including scrapes and bruises.
