Apple launches new model in India
Apple Monday launched its most affordable model in the 17 series, the iPhone 17e, in India and globally. The new device brings several upgrades over the previous iPhone 16e, including the latest A19 chipset, a 48MP Fusion camera, improved durability, and MagSafe support.
One of the biggest highlights is that the base model storage has been doubled to 256GB. The starting price of the iPhone 17e has been set at ₹64,900. The price increase compared to last year is being attributed to memory chip shortages and the higher base storage upgrade from 128GB to 256GB.
Alongside the smartphone, Apple also introduced the new iPad Air powered by the M4 processor. The company claims the new iPad Air delivers up to 30 per cent faster performance than its predecessor. The starting price of the iPad Air (M4) is also ₹64,900.
Pre-bookings for both devices will begin at 7:45 p.m. on March 4, while sales will officially start from March 11.
