Atleast 16 labourers were killed in an illegal coal mine in Meghalya state on India Thursday. Police launched the probe but the reason of the incident is yet to be known.

Meghalya Director General of Police (DGP) I Nongrang said that some labourers were still missing and the search was on to locate them.
