Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday kicked the controversy Wednesday after he called union minister of Sate Ravneet Bittu 'Traitor'. The BJP demanded action against Rahul Gandhi for insulting Bittu.

Bittu was a long time Congressman and remained MP thrice bur in 2024 he switched the side to BJP and contested as party's candidate from Ludhiana. He lost the elections to Punjab Congress Chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring.
