Jharkhand CM orders to cancel JSSC-CGL exam
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren decided to cancel the controversial Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission-Combined Graduate Level (JSSC-CGL) examination after a four-hour cabinet meeting on Monday.
Hundreds of students in the state also held a protest highlighting the irregularities in the examination.
The state government announced that it will conduct a CID inquiry into all recruitment tests since 2014. Additionally, the government is also looking into both minor and major irregularities.
Furthermore, Soren rescinded all recruitment processes, examination results, and selections made by TSR Data Processing Private Limited (TDPL). The CID and the SIT investigation have thus far unearthed a web of outsourcing scams involving numerous agencies. In addition, those employed in the CGL examinations have been charged with JPSC examination fraud.
The state government has established an examination reforms committee, with senior civil servant Amitabh Kaushal, to investigate the complaints.
