Castlegar RCMP charges man for bear and enter
On December 28, 2025, the Castlegar RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 300 block of 3rd Avenue, Castlegar, BC. It was alleged that the residence was forcefully entered sometime between December 25th and 28th, 2025, and that a television and food items were stolen.
Through the course of the investigation, Castlegar RCMP collected evidence that has now been analyzed, identifying a suspect for the break and enter.
On July 26, 47-year-old Erik Larsen of Castlegar, BC was formally charged with break and enter to a dwelling house and commit an indictable of offence therein, theft, contrary to Section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
Mr. Larsen was arrested on July 28th, 2026, by the Castlegar RCMP and appeared before the Provincial Court on his outstanding matters. Mr. Larsen was subsequently released on bail and is to next appear in Castlegar Provincial Court August 26th.
