Punjab CM Mann Targets Badal Family, Accuses Akali Leadership of Betraying Panth
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday launched a sharp political attack on Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal and the Badal family, accusing them of sacrificing the interests of the Sikh community for personal and political gain.
Addressing a "Lok Milni" (public outreach programme) in Panjgrain Kalan village in Faridkot district, Mann drew a contrast between the sacrifices made by Guru Gobind Singh and the actions of the Badal family.
"While Guru Gobind Singh sacrificed his entire family for the Panth, the Badal family sacrificed the entire Panth for the interests of their family," Mann told a gathering attended by residents from Panjgrain Kalan and nearby villages, including a large number of women.
During his address, the chief minister also accused the Akali leadership of using religion for political purposes and manipulating religious institutions to serve its political interests.
The event was part of the Punjab government's ongoing public outreach campaign aimed at engaging directly with residents and addressing local concerns.
