Richmond RCMP  is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage following a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.

On September 1,  at approximately 4:43 p.m., Richmond RCMP officers responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of No. 1 Road and Lockhart Road. The motorcycle rider was transported to hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

The Richmond RCMP Serious Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation. 

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who was travelling in the area of No. 1 Road and Lockhart Road between approximately 4:15 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. and may have dash-cam footage, to contact police.

“Investigators are working to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision and are asking anyone with information or video footage to come forward,” says Cpl. Melissa Lui, Richmond RCMP Media Relation Officer.
