Australia to supply Uranium to India
India and Australia have signed a series of agreements covering civil nuclear energy, defence, maritime security and critical minerals following talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
One of the most significant development came when Australia agreed to supply Uranium to India.
The agreements include the supply of Australian uranium for India's civilian nuclear energy program and plans to establish a critical minerals corridor to strengthen cooperation on strategic resources.
The two countries also agreed to set up a space tracking terminal on Australia's Cocos (Keeling) Islands to support India's Gaganyaan human spaceflight mission.
Modi and Albanese reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral trade and defence ties and to promoting a free, open and peaceful Indo-Pacific region.
