Surrey police seek public help to identify sexual assault suspect
Surrey Police Service (SPS) is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a stranger sexual assault involving a teenaged victim in Surrey’s Clayton Heights Neighborhood.
On June 6, at approximately 7:00 pm, SPS Frontline officers responded to a report of a stranger sexual assault where a teenaged female victim reported that she was sexually assaulted at approximately 4:30 pm near the intersection of 188 Street and 70 Avenue, Surrey. The suspect allegedly approached the victim from behind and assaulted her. The victim was able to flee and run to safety.
The suspect is described as a Black man, approximately 6”1” to 6”2” tall, medium build, approximately 20 years of age, with short curly black hair, a short black beard that covered the sides, chin, and mouth, and wearing a black t-shirt and possibly dark pants. The suspect was last seen walking north on 188 Street.
