Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is being credited with generating hundreds of millions in economic activity through his international “Dil-Luminati” tour, according to a new report by EY.

The report estimates the tour has generated approximately $943 million in revenue and contributed about $114 million in tax revenue, including roughly $111 million in GST and additional local permit fees.

It also suggests the tour has created around 120,000 jobs across multiple sectors, including event production, security, hospitality and local services in cities hosting performances.

The findings highlight what the report describes as a growing economic footprint of large-scale live music tours, particularly within the Punjabi music industry.

Dosanjh has also announced his new “Aura World Tour 2026,” which began in Australia and is now continuing across North America, with performances scheduled in 13 cities.

The tour includes stops in major Canadian and U.S. markets such as Vancouver, Toronto and Dallas, before concluding with a final show in San Francisco on June 20.

According to the report, Dosanjh became the first Punjabi artist to perform in major Australian stadiums, selling more than 90,000 tickets during earlier legs of the tour in Sydney and Melbourne.

The singer has said the tour represents a broader milestone for the global live music industry and Punjabi music’s growing international reach.
