Pattulo bridge to remain close between New Westminister and Surrey from February 6

Drivers are reminded that the Pattullo Bridge and the stal̕əw̓asəm (Riverview) Bridge between New Westminster and Surrey will be closed for approximately one week starting Friday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m.

The closures are required to ensure public and worker safety while crews complete the connections to the roadways on either side of the new bridge. The Pattullo Bridge’s sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists, and emergency-vehicle access will be maintained at all times.

Following the work, three lanes (two northbound and one southbound) will be open on the stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge. One southbound lane will remain open on the Pattullo Bridge so crews can complete the Royal Avenue on-ramp connection. During this period, drivers are reminded to check local traffic conditions while planning trips.

Traffic will shift fully to the stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge, which features wider lanes and a centre median, in late February 2026.
