Washington: The Executive Board of the World Bank today approved a loan of US$ 150 million to help Punjab better manage its financial resources and improve public services.
The government financial institution gave this information in a statement. World Bank Director Aguste Tano said that such assistance amount is released by the World Bank from time to time.
Supporting statewide implementation of new legal and policy reforms will help strengthen new projects, budgets and monitoring functions, besides increasing accountability in public procurement systems, a World Bank statement said. Along with this, it will also be easy to achieve the development goals of the Punjab by taking advantage of digital technology.
