New Delhi: A notorious shooter involved in the Umesh Pal murder case was killed in an encounter with the Crime Branch in Kaundhiara police station area on Monday morning.
Vijay alias Usman, who was killed in the encounter, carried a reward of Rs 50,000. A injured cop was sent to Swaroop Rani Hospital. This encounter took place around 5 am.
BJP leader Shalabh Mani Tripathi wrote on Twitter that Usman, the dreaded killer who fired the first bullet at Umesh Pal and Sandeep Nishad, was also killed in a police encounter today.
Dr Badri Vishal Singh, emergency medical officer of Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital, said, “We conducted an inquiry after which he was declared dead and the body was sent to the mortuary. As soon as Umesh Pal got out of the vehicle, Vijay alias Usman was the first bullet shot. Another person hiding in the shop had fired at Umesh only after Usman. This is the second encounter in the Umesh Pal murder case.
Yesterday, the police administration had announced a reward on the absconding accused in this case. UP CM Yogi Adityanath had announced in the assembly that the mafia will be buried in the soil. After this, the police and administration are seen in action.
