Chandigarh: The Punjab Police has become active again after the ultimatum ended in the campaign against gun culture. Fatehgarh Sahib police have registered a case against singers Jasmin Akhtar and Sukhman Heer. Both of them released their new song Kafila recently in which weapons were displayed.

According to the information given by Fatehgarh Sahib Police, a case has been registered against singers Jasmin Akhtar and Sukhman Heer and seven unidentified people at Khedi Nudh Singh. Action is being taken by the Punjab government against songs displaying and encouraging weapons.

Singer Sukhman put up a film cover on his Instagram account, in which the rifle is held in his hand and the song also shows weapons openly.

Song Kafila released on Friday

Singer Jasmine and Sukhman’s song Kafila has been released on Friday, Which has been viewed by about 1M people in a day on YouTube.

The 72-hour ultimatum is over

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had banned the display of weapons on social media, parties and songs in Punjab. The police also took strict action and registered several cases. The Punjab Police had given a 72-hour deadline on last Friday evening, asking everyone to remove pictures of weapons from their social media accounts. This ultimatum ended last Tuesday.
