Ontario: Microblogging site Twitter has started testing the much-awaited Edit Button for select users. This feature of the company has been released for Twitter Blue customers on the platform. Twitter Blue is currently only available in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Its users have to take a subscription every month.

Twitter said in its tweet on April 1 that they are working on the Edit button. Earlier on August 30, Twitter introduced a new feature of Twitter Circle for its users in which Twitter users have a special facility to convey their tweets to certain people.

Meanwhile, from September 1, the company has started testing the edit button on its Twitter.

With the help of edit tweet feature, users will get the option to edit tweets posted on their Twitter. After editing the tweet, the edited tweets will appear alongside icons, timestamps and labels.

With this, it will become clear to other users that the user has modified their original tweet. Along with this, clicking on the label, viewers will get the option of edit history, in which the history of the previous tweet will be shown.

“If you see an edited Tweet it’s because we’re testing the edit button this is happening and you’ll be okay,” Twitter said.
