Ontario: Travellers coming to Canada from China, Hong Kong and Macao will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test from today.

Last week, the Canadian government announced that travelers coming from China will have to submit a negative report of a COVID-19 test conducted 48 hours before boarding the plane from January 5.

Similar regulations have been implemented by the US as well as several European countries for travelers coming from China.

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman this week condemned such changes by these countries and said that some countries are using COVID-19 standards for political reasons and China will retaliate.
