Chandigarh: Thieves targeted the house of an additional sessions judge in Ludhiana, police said on Saturday. The miscreants entered the judge’s house and ransacked rooms. They also stole the taps from the bathroom.
The police of Police Station Division No. 8 were informed about the incident. Sardul Singh, the gunman of Judge Ravdeep Hundal, has recorded the statement before the police. Sardul Singh said that Judge Ravdeep Hundal lives in Kothi No. 5 on Mall Road. On March 6, the judge left for Chandigarh due to leave. When he returned on March 9, all the belongings were found scattered in his residence.
Unidentified thieves stole water geysers and several material from the bathrooms while they also looted some ornaments from the house, police said.
After this incident, questions are also being raised on the area police. According to the area police, the matter is being investigated. CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the area are being checked and accused will be nabbed soon.
