British Columbia: The board of directors for B-C’s Interior Health has a new chair.
Doctor Robert Halpenny has been appointed to replace Doctor Doug Cochrane who died earlier this month.
Health Minister Adrian Dix says Halpenny has been instrumental in delivering helicopter services and a cardiac program to Interior Health.
He has also been a family physician in Vancouver for eight years.
Overall, his career as a health administrator spans three decades.
He will serve as the board chairman until the end of 2026.
