Surrey RCMP is advising the public that a man has been arrested and charged in relation to an assault that occurred in Whalley last week.
On May 5, 2022, at 2:24 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a call for service in the 13500-block of Old Yale Road where a woman had been physically assaulted by a man in the staircase of an underground parking lot.
Through investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested on May 7, 2022.
On May 8, 2022, 26-year-old, Raymond Kellett, was charged with Aggravated Assault and Uttering Threats. Kellett was remanded into custody while he awaits his next court appearance.
