Canada: SkipTheDishes CEO Paul Burns announced that the company is laying off 100 employees in Canada. Additionally, 700 staff members from its parent company, Just Eat Takeaway.com, will also lose their jobs.
The layoffs come after a comprehensive review and restructuring aimed at aligning resources and improving business growth. SkipTheDishes, founded in Winnipeg in 2012, was acquired by Just Eat in 2016, which later merged with Takeaway.com in 2020.
