Washington: Singer Taylor Swift has created history and become the first artist to claim every slot in the top 10 of the US singles chart in the 64-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.
Swift has overtaken Drake, who set the previous record with nine of the top 10 songs for a week in September 2021, Billboard reported on Monday.
The 32-year-old pop star tweeted, “10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES.”
The new album ‘Midnights’ released on October 21 and all 13 songs make to the top.
Billboard in a tweet wrote that Swift scores one of the most historic weeks in billboard charts history, as she becomes the first artist to claim the Hot100’s entire top 10 in a single week.
The number one spot on the Billboard chart has been given to ‘Anti-Hero’. Other top 10 songs include ‘Lavender Haze, Maroon, Snow On The Beach, Midnight rain, Bejewelled, Karma and ‘Question…’.
Swift has set several new records with Midnights: This was the biggest first week of any album’s sales this year, with Harry Styles’ third solo album, Harry House, nearly doubling the previous title-holder’s number. Midnights also had the highest stream in the first week of the year: 72.5m, again beating Styles’ figure of 53.9m.
Swift has also overtaken Madonna to set a new all-time UK chart record for the fastest succession of nine UK No. 1 albums of any female artist – although Madonna still holds the record for the most UK No. 1 album of any solo female artist.
