Chandigarh: Paramvir Singh, a student of St Theresa’s Convent School in Karnal, received a scholarship of Rs 2 crore from the University of Toronto, which is number one in Canada and ranked 17th in the world.

The scholarship program is intended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school.
Paramvir Singh, son of NIFA president Preetpal Singh Pannu, scored 1,530 out of 1,600 in the SET exam and 95 per cent marks in the 12th examination.
Paramvir Singh, who also worked as a volunteer during the corona period and had organized a 22-hour webinar against child abuse and drugs, which was included in the World Book of Records London. He is a keen in football.
Considering all these achievements and consistently performing well in studies, Paramveer has been selected for this most prestigious scholarship in the world.
Paramveer has become the first student from the state of Haryana to receive this scholarship.
