Chandigarh: In a tribute to Sidhu Moosewala, the panchayat of Jawaharke village organised a ‘paath’ to pay tribute to slain singer, who was gunned down in the village by several assailants last year on May 29.

Ahead of his death anniversary, a large number of followers reached the village where Moosewala’s mother addressed them. Rajinder Singh, former sarpanch of village Jawahar, said the panchayat will continue to support Moosewala’s family to seek justice.

Meanwhile, family of Moosewala will organize a candle march protest on Monday to mark one year murder anniversary of Sidhu Moosewala.

Chamkaur Singh Sidhu said that in the memory of Moosewala, ‘paath’ will be held in the village and a blood donation camp will also be organized. He said a protest march would also be taken out from Gurdwara Chowk in Mansa to Bus Stand Chowk to press for justice for Moosewala among other demands.
