Amritsar: The annual budget 2023-24 session of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has been presented at Teja Singh Samundari Hall at the SGPC headquarters on Tuesday.

In the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the general session was held under the chairmanship of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and a budget of over Rs 1100 crore was passed.

He said that Budget priorities include propagating Sikh faith, public welfare and simplification of Panthak issues.

The budget was presented by SGPC General Secretary Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal. SGPC office-bearers and members attended the budget session. This year’s budget is different from the gurdwaras in Haryana. The Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (HSGMC) has already passed its budget for this year at Rs 106.5 crore.

The budget session was inaugurated with ardas (prayer). Later, tributes were paid to the departed souls including Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Jaipal Singh Mandian, Baba Gajan Singh Ji.
