Surrey RCMP is informing the public of a serious two vehicle collision in the Newton area this afternoon.
On January 29th at approximately 4:25 pm, police responded to a two vehicle collision in the 15200 block of Highway 10. Surrey Fire Department and BC Ambulance Service also responded.
Initial information has this being a head on collision with potentially serious injuries.
Traffic in the area will be affected for an undetermined time as officers continue their investigation.
All West bound traffic on Highway 10 is being shut down and traffic diverted at 168 Street.
The fast lane East bound on Highway 10 is also shut down at this time with only the slow lane able to get thru.
The public are requested to avoid the area until further notice.
The investigation into the collision is in its early stages. Investigators are seeking witnesses who observed the collision to contact the Surrey RCMP. Investigators are also seeking any available dash-cam video.
