Chandigarh: A dog died after being run over by a school van in Punjab’s Gurdaspur. Furious over this, the dog’s owner, along with his companions, attacked the school bus, carrying minor children, with sharp-edged weapons.

In defense, the driver of the van made a video of the attackers. In the video, the children are seen wearing amid ruckus.

The incident took place in Harchowal village under Gurdaspur district. According to the driver, he was driving slowly on the narrow road of the village. In the meantime, two dogs suddenly came in front of the bus fighting. He tried to stop the brakes. In this, a dog died crushed to death under the bus.

Within minutes, some youths came with sharp-edged weapon and started attacking bus. Seeing the scene, the terrified children started screaming loudly.

After hearing the children’s screams, the villagers rushed to the spot. They pacified the situation and called the police on the spot.

The dog owner alleged that his dog worth Rs 50,000 was killed as driver was driving recklessly. Meanwhile, the police is investigating the matter.
