Chandigarh: Another arrest has been made in the Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder case on Monday. The police have caught Bittu, brother of gangster Sandeep Kekra, who did recceing of Moosewala and informed the Lawrence gang, police said.
Bittu has been arrested from Dabwali in Haryana. Bittu was in jail with Lawrence a few years back. The police were looking for him for a long time.
According to police sources, one of the shooters who opened fire on Moosewala’s car was in contact with Bittu. Apart from this, he also lived in jail with Lawrence. Both brothers Sandeep and Bittu were doing raccee of Mossewala for a long time.
Bittu is brought to Mansa by the police. He will be produced in the district court and taken to police remand. He will be questioned as to who else he was in contact with.
According to information received from sources, there may be about half a dozen more arrests in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. On Saturday, the police had caught Deepak Mundi, the sixth shooter who killed Moosewala, along with his two accomplices Kapil Pandit and Rajinder Joker. He was preparing to go to Dubai, but before that he was caught.
Moosewala was killed on May 29
Sidhu Moosewala was murdered on 29 May 2022 in Jawaharke village of Mansa. The murder was carried out when Moosewala was on his way towards the village in his Thar jeep. Accused had fired indiscriminately by encircling him, which led to his death on the spot.
