New Delhi: Russia’s media has reported that the Federal Security Service (FSB) arrested an ISIS suicide bomber who was planning a terrorist attack against a representative of the Government of India (GOI).
According to Russian news agency, a ISIS terrorist was planning an attack against a member of India’s elite leadership.
“A member of the Islamic State, a russian-based international terrorist organization, has been identified and apprehended, a citizen of the Central Asian Region, who planned to blow up a representative of the ruling camp in India,” the FSB said in a statement.
Islamic State controls large parts of Iraq and Syria
ISIS is also known as Daesh, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant or Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. This terrorist organization came into existence in 2013. It is considered to be the world’s most dreaded terrorist and rich terrorist organization.
Its budget is said to be two billion dollars. In 2014, it declared its chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi the caliph of all Muslims in the world. Large parts of Iraq and Syria are believed to be occupied by this terrorist organization. In these places, the terrorist organization runs old Islamic law.
