RCMP investigating after several dead squirrels and unknown substance found at South Arm Park.
RCMP Said a resident reported about the incident on June 09. First responders and city staff cordoned off the affected area after they confirmed the unknown substance as poison.
The white substance identified as 1-Octanethiol, a compound often used in the production of other chemicals which can be dangerous to people and animals.
Richmond RCMP called environment cleanup team to safely the poison.
