Punjab: Ravneet Bittu, the BJP candidate from Ludhiana, expressed his confidence in winning the Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat by highlighting his achievements and commitment to his constituents. At a press conference, Bittu unveiled a vision paper for Ludhiana, prioritizing the establishment of an AIIMS and an Industrial Park to address healthcare and employment needs. He emphasized the importance of affordable, quality healthcare and proposed an AIIMS to serve Ludhiana and neighboring districts while creating around 5,000 jobs. The Industrial Park would feature subsidized land, a dry port, labor quarters, and an ESI hospital. Bittu also promised to address the Form 43 A payment method for industry and proposed a global exhibition and convention center to showcase Ludhiana’s industrial production.

Bittu outlined additional plans, including developing a Metro network to ease traffic and pollution, de-polluting Budha Nullah, and constructing elevated roads. He emphasized the need for food processing clusters to boost farmers’ income and the establishment of premier institutes like IIT and IIM. Bittu also proposed a hostel for working women, an international sports center, and improving international connectivity at Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha Airport. He highlighted his parliamentary performance, noting he asked 367 questions, participated in 56 debates, and maintained a 90% attendance record. Bittu detailed the allocation of Rs. 41 crores in MPLAD funds for various projects, including gyms, CCTV cameras, infrastructure, and medical equipment, and noted his initiative in constructing Rs. 756 crore worth of elevated roads.
