Chandigarh: The Punjab Police has been conducting search operations across the state for the last five days to nab Amritpal Singh, the head of the ‘Waris Punjab De’ outfit.
A team of Punjab Police reached Amritpal Singh’s residence in Amritsar on Wednesday.
According to some reports, the police have questioned Amritpal Singh’s mother and his wife a Kiran Deep in connection with foreign funding. However, no concrete information has been given by the police so far.
A lookout notice and non-bailable warrant have been issued against Amritpal Singh in the last 24 hours.
Along with this, cases have also been registered against Amritpal Singh and his five associates under the National Security Act.
SSP Swarndeep Singh said that the motorcycle on which Amritpal Singh ran away has been recovered.
So far, more than 100 people have been arrested in this case, including Amritpal Singh’s uncle and driver.
The police have also recovered the Mercedes, Brezza car and motorcycle on which Amritpal Singh allegedly managed to escape before police could arrest him near Shahkot in Jalandhar.
Meanwhile, another photograph of fugitive Amritpal Singh has surfaced, in which he is seen sitting on a motor vehicle. A bike is also seen on this motor vehicle. It is believed that his bike may have either run out of oil or it may have been damaged.
