Chandigarh: Punjab Congress vice-president and former Faridkot MLA Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon was arrested by the vigilance on Tuesday. He was called to the SSP Vigilance office in Ferozepur for questioning today.
After this, the vigilance team also raided the residence of former MLA Dhillon on Faridkot-Kotkapura highway.
Along with Dhillon, Gursewak Singh of village Dhanna district Faridkot and Rajwinder Singh of Nanaksar Shaheed village in Ferozepur district have been booked for corruption after a vigilance inquiry
Dhillon had been facing a vigilance probe since a few months after the formation of the present government in the state, and he has been questioned in the Faridkot Vigilance DSP office several times in the past.
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau on Tuesday arrested former Faridkot MLA Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, a vigilance spokesperson said.
He said that a five-year investigation period was fixed by the Bureau from 01-04-2017 to 31-03-2022 to assess all his movable and immovable assets.
