Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off the Vande Bharat Express from Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati railway station to New Delhi railway station.

Railway Minister and Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh were also present on the occasion.

At the beginning of his address, PM Modi expressed his grief over the loss of lives in the accident in Indore. PM Modi further said that today MP has received the first Vande Bharat train. With the arrival of this train, the journey between Bhopal and Delhi will be faster.

PM Modi also targeted the Congress on this occasion. He said that the previous governments were so busy in appeasement that they have not paid attention to the development of the country. They were engaged in appeasement of the vote bank and we are dedicated to the satisfaction of the countrymen.

“Glad to flag off Bhopal-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express. Our endeavour is to transform the railways sector and provide greater comfort for the citizens,” Modi wrote in a tweet.

PM Modi said that very rarely in the history of the railways that a PM has come again at such a short interval at the same station. But new systems are being created in modern India. New traditions are being created.

“I also spent a few moments with the children who were travelling in the same train as passengers. The curiosity they had about this train was worth seeing. This train is the excitement and wave of developing India,” PM Modi said.
