Due to incoming weather and saturated ground conditions, Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet will proactively close at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30.
Drivers are advised that the highway will be closed overnight and the duration of closure will depend on the weather and road conditions.
The highway infrastructure is vulnerable following recent storm events. More heavy rain in the forecast poses an additional risk.
Geotechnical and operational crews will re-evaluate the roadway on Wednesday morning, with the highway reopening when safe to do so.
