Chandigarh: The parents of Amritpal Singh, the head of Waris Punjab De, met him at Dibrugarh jail in Assam on Thursday.

His mother Balwinder Kaur and father Tarsem Singh was accompanied by advocate Rohit Sharma and advocate Rajdev Singh Khalsa (ex-Punjab MP). It was their first meeting in the jail.

Amritpal Singh along with his nine Khalistani sympathiser supporters have been booked under NSA. He has been lodged in Dibrugarh jail since April 23.

Talking to the media, advocate Rohit said that they took permission from Amritsar and took Amritpal Singh’s at Dibrugarh jail to meet their son.

On May 4, Amritpal’s wife Kirandeep Kaur had accompanied a batch of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) leaders to meet Amritpal Singh, a Khalistani supporter and chief of Waris Punjab De.

During this visit, Amritpal met his wife in jail and said conveyed a message to the Sikh community that he is in the Chaddi Kalan.
