Chandigarh: Opposition parties have targeted the Aam Aadmi Party over reports that Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has been deplaned from a flight from Frankfurt to Lufthansa. Opposition parties say the Punjab CM has shamed ‘Punjabis’. Mann’s office, on the other hand, says he delayed returning to Delhi as he was unwell.
In fact, there are reports that Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, who went to Germany, was deplaned from a Lufthansa Airlines flight because he was drunk. According to reports, his condition was such that he could not even stand on his feet. In such a situation, they were not allowed to travel by the airline.
In the whole matter, the Delhi Congress tweeted and targeted and termed it a very shameful incident. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was deplaned after he was drunk.
“I urge the @mealibdelhi to clarify why @BhagwantMann was deplaned from Frankfurt yesterday while traveling back to Delhi as the Indian Counsel General Germany must be apprised of it as their officials accompany a dignitary like Cm Pb? Aap Spokespersons are no authority to comment,”Congress leader and Bholath MLA Sukhpal Khaira said in a tweet.
At the same time, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal said, “Disturbing media reports quoting co-passengers say Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann was deplaned from Lufthansa flight as he was too drunk to walk. And it led to a 4-hour flight delay. He missed AAP’s national convention. These reports have embarrassed & shamed Punjabis all over the globe.”
