Ontario: Ontario will present its budget on March 23. Announcing the date on Thursday, Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy said the budget would bring hope for Ontario a strong future in these volatile times.

Last week, he said that during the pandemic, the high-cost and large deficit budgets presented by Ontario had solved the whole issue, but now it is time to act with restraint.

In a recently released third-quarter financial update, Ontario reported a deficit of $6.5 billion for the 2022-23 fiscal year.

It has seen an improvement of $6.4 billion from the economic statement released at the end of the year.

Meanwhile, the Financial Accountability Office (FAO) has reported a deficit of $2.5 billion this fiscal, but said it would see an improvement of several billion dollars in the coming time.
