Vancouver: The police said A suspect has been arrested following a violent incident in East Vancouver on Wednesday night.
Vancouver Police said officers were called to Vernon Drive and East 2nd Avenue after shots were fired just after 7 pm on Wednesday.
“Officers located a 28-year-old woman with a gunshot wound, who was taken to hospital and she is expected to survive,” according to the Vancouver Police Department.
The police said the suspect, a man in his 50s, left the area after the shooting. He was located and arrested by the police near Trout Lake just before 10 pm.
Vancouver Police said the suspect remains in custody and the investigation is going on.
