Itanagar: Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday stressed that no one can question the “territorial integrity of India”. “No one can take even an inch of our land.”
He also launched several schemes being run by the Centre in Kibithu village in Arunachal. This village is located on the border of India and China.
China firmly opposes Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman told a news briefing on Monday.
Beijing considers the activities of India’s Home Minister in the region a violation of its territorial sovereignty. However, the Indian government rejected this statement of China outright.
Amit Shah said, “Due to the bravery of ITBP and Army personnel, no one can look at the border of our country with an eye. Now the era is gone when anyone could occupy the land of India. Today, no one can occupy even the land at the tip of a needle.”
Instead of Namaste in Arunachal, say ‘Jai Hind’
“Arunachal Pradesh is a very special and good thing. When you meet people here, they don’t say hello. People here say Jai Hind. No one can encroach here. The reason for this is the patriotism of the people here.
Launching the ‘Vibrant Village Program’ in Kibithu village, Home Minister Amit Shah said, “PM Modi has decided to start vibrant village program to provide employment and development in border villages. In the coming years, every house adjacent to the border will get water, electricity, gas-cylinders and people will get employment. These villages will be connected to other parts of the country and other parts of Arunachal,” he said.
