An independent member of parliament from Australia, Helen Haines, finds herself in critical condition following an attack with a car outside her office premises in Wangaratta. The Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, has come out strongly against the attack describing it as a targeted one amid increasing cases of attacks and threats against politicians. Witnesses were able to catch the 43-year-old male suspect following the discovery of a knife in his SUV.
