I Love It Here’: New campaign celebrates the people

What makes Penticton such a special place to live? Just ask the people who call it home.

Today, the City's Economic Development team is launching ‘I Love It Here,’ a new campaign that shines a spotlight on the people, places and everyday experiences that make Penticton a welcoming place to live and play.

Building on the City's ‘Love Local’ campaign, which encourages residents to support and celebrate local businesses, ‘I Love It Here’ expands that spirit by highlighting the unique qualities that make Penticton and the South Okanagan stand out. This initiative comes as Penticton and neighbouring communities continue recovering following this summer's wildfire season and as local businesses navigate economic pressures, including tariffs and rising costs.

“Penticton and our neighbours have faced their share of challenges in recent months, but throughout it all, we’ve seen an incredible outpouring of generosity and kindness,” says Blake Laven, general manager of Development Services. “At its heart, this campaign is an opportunity to celebrate what makes this place so special and to share that story with others. It's a reminder of why we choose to call Penticton home – and a chance to show that our community is welcoming, resilient and open for business."

The initiative includes a series of short videos featuring local residents from all walks of life. From healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs to students, young families and newcomers to Canada, they are showcased in some of Penticton's most recognizable locations and showcasing the lifestyle and experiences that make our community unique.

To help launch the initiative, the City will hand out ‘I Love It Here’ stickers, decals and other items in the coming weeks. Residents can also participate in upcoming community activations, with more details to be announced soon.
