Maple Ridge RCMP have made an arrest in a recent shooting incident that occurred Tuesday evening in Maple Ridge officers respond to shots fired call with injuries. 

The 44-year-old male suspect, who is known to police, was taken into custody earlier today without incident. 

The victim remains in hospital in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Maple Ridge RCMP  Serious Crimes Unit. 

Investigators confirm that the incident stemmed from an altercation between the alleged suspect and the victim who were known to each other. There is no further risk to the public at this time.
