Maple Ridge RCMP is currently investigating and assisting the BC Coroner’s Service after a deceased individual was located yesterday morning in Maple Ridge.

On July 20,  at approximately 7:30am, Maple Ridge RCMP responded to a report of a deceased female located outside a residence in the 11800 block of 207 Street.   

Officers have conducted a number of investigative steps and are working closely with the BC Coroner’s Service and other support units to confirm further details. The deceased is believed to be a 55-year-old female of no fixed address. 

The cause of death is unknown, however, police are continuing to investigate to rule out any possibly criminality in this matter. 

There is no risk to the public.
