Burnaby RCMP asks public to identify road rage suspect
Burnaby RCMP is asking for public assistance in identifying a suspect that allegedly threatened another driver with a knife during a road rage incident.
On Sunday, April 19, Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report from a victim who had allegedly been verbally threatened by another driver. The suspect also allegedly made gestures with a knife during the encounter. The incident occurred on Boundary Road, near Grandview Hwy.
The victim was able to obtain limited photos before the suspect fled the area. There were also two passengers in the victim’s vehicle. At one point the suspect was close enough to attempt to open the passenger side door of the victim’s vehicle from his own seat several times, before producing a knife and making threatening comments.
Police have taken several investigational steps but are now asking for the public’s assistance.
“Our actions and words have consequences, and nobody should have to go through what the victims in this incident went through,” said Cpl. Mike Kalanj with the Burnaby RCMP . “Please contact our investigators if you recognize the suspect or have any information.”
