SPS Investigating Shots Fired in Surrey’s City Centre

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating early morning shots fired in a Surrey City Centre neighbourhood.

On June 16, 2026, at approximately 2:04 am, SPS Frontline officers responded to a report of shots fired near Central Avenue and 133 Street, Surrey. Upon arrival, police located gunfire damage to a parked and unoccupied vehicle.

The investigation is in its early stages and the motive for the shots fired is unknown, but it is believed to be targeted and not extortion related.

SPS’s Major Crime Section (MCS) is engaged in the investigation, and frontline officers may be in the area today canvassing for physical and digital evidence.
