Water supply restored in Kamloops

The City of Kamloops has successfully completed repairs to the critical water main serving the east end of the city. Water service has now been restored to all impacted areas, and residents may resume regular water use.

While water flow has returned, water quality restrictions remain in effect and vary by zone.

  • Barnhartvale, Juniper, and Rose Hill are currently under a Do Not Consume order.
  • Valleyview, Campbell Creek, and Dallas are under a Boil Water Advisory.

Residents should continue to follow the instructions provided in their property-specific alerts and not assume conditions are the same across neighbouring areas.

Current Voyent Alert! updates are available on the East Kamloops Water Main Break web page.

Next Steps
As the system returns to normal operations, the water will undergo comprehensive testing and staged usability to ensure safety before all advisories are lifted. The City will provide updates as each area progresses and water is confirmed safe for consumption.

The City thanks residents and businesses for their cooperation in stopping water use during the repair period. These efforts helped stabilize the system and supported a faster, safer return to service.

The City of Kamloops appreciates the community’s continued patience and cooperation as water quality is fully restored.
