Peel police arrests man in connection with sending threats to three schools
Investigators from 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) have made an arrest after threats were made against three schools in the city of Brampton.
Between May 10 and May 12, a secondary school received numerous threatening messages via telephone. Police investigation revealed that similar threats were directed at another secondary school and an elementary school in Brampton. The investigation revealed that these threatening incidents involved the same suspect.
In cooperation with the school administration, Peel Regional Police determined the threats were unfounded.
On May 12, Bryan Hulme, 31, of Scarborough was arrested and charged with uttering threats and public mischief.
The accused was subsequently released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario court of Justice at a later date.
